Our Services
Why is a consultation essential?
Starting your process with a consultation is a vital step towards success. During this initial session, we will discuss your particular situation, understand what your goals are, and address any questions you may have. This personalized approach helps us get you on the right track and avoid potential setbacks, saving you time and resources in the long run.
Do you have a quick question?

Frequequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
You can apply on your own, many people do. (see IRCC Help Center link: https://www.ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=444&top=7)
The real question is whether you can apply confidently and correctly with your specific facts, deadlines, and risks.
Some applications are more complicated than others depending on your specific profile, immigration history, deadlines and other risk factors. Small gaps (missing documents, unclear job duties, weak proof, status issues, inconsistent history) can lead to delays or refusals.
My role as your authorized representative is to reduce uncertainty, build a clear strategy, and submit a well-supported application, so you can keep living your life while a professional handles the process with you (not instead of you).
RCIC stands for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant. We are professionals who are licensed and regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (link: https://college-ic.ca/) and authorized to represent clients before IRCC.
Working with a regulated professional means accountability, professional standards, confidentiality, and a duty to act in your best interests. Most importantly, it also helps protect you from ghost consultants and risky “shortcuts” that can harm your future in Canada.
No ethical professional can guarantee an approval. IRCC’s decisions are discretionary and depend on the facts of your case, evidence, and admissibility.
What I can guarantee is a thorough process: clear eligibility assessment, strong documentation plan, accurate forms, consistent narratives, and proactive risk management. The goal is to collaborate with you to submit the best possible application based on truthful, complete information.
Consultations are 30 or 60 minutes long, depending on the type of consultation you book. During this time we will meet via video conference for a focused, practical, and strategy-driven conversation. My goal is that at the end of the consultation you’ll leave with:
- A clear understanding of eligibility (and any risks)
- A recommended pathway + timeline
- Next steps (what you do vs what I do)
If you decide to proceed with our representation services, we move into a structured workflow that includes sending you a quote, signing a service agreement, and an onboarding meeting where we will go over how the representation process will work.

We do not provide free consultations and here’s why:
A consultation is NOT a quick chat.
Consultation fees pay for time, preparation and clarity. In a consultation, we will give you advice that will impact your future and we take this very seriously.
We’ve learned that when people do not invest in the process, they often don’t follow the plan.
We respect our client’s time and our own too much to go down this path. A consultation fee is a way to ensure that we both show up with intention.
Please do keep in mind that you have options. RCICs structure consultations in different ways, so you can choose the format and approach that works best for you.
And if our approach feels like the right fit, you can book a consultation here: https://merhouseimmigration.ca/calendar/
The first step is to sign the Consultation Service Agreement. This will be included in your booking confirmation email. If you did not receive it, please contact us via email to: info@merhouseimmigration.ca. This step must be completed before we can start the consultation.
We will also send you a link to fill out a pre-assessment form. This will help us gather as much relevant information as possible in order to make the best use of your consultation time. When filling out this form, please keep in mind that the most accurate the information, the more precise the advice.
